Welcome to the Technology Design Team Weekly Lessons Learned! This is a recurring feature on Friday afternoons where the Technology Design Team will share top of mind resources and learning. Each week, we will post a few key things we hope you may find useful. We look forward to sharing our learning with you.
Some of the content may be specific to the realities of Austin ISD though, we hope, much will be useful to viewers worldwide. The Weekly Lessons Learned Archive contains a list of topics from and links to previous updates.
I have students in my BLEND course who withdrew from my class. How can I remove them from my class?
- Teachers can’t delete students from courses that are synced to Frontline.
- Teachers can conclude a student’s enrollment so they do not show as active in the gradebook.
- This document demonstrates the process of concluding a student..
- If you accidentally conclude a current student, you can restore their enrollment using the same process or you can wait for the nightly sync to restore the enrollment. The student will remain connected to their submissions and grades.
Can I get a refresher on how to embed Google Drive items in BLEND?
How can I tell who has accessed my Google doc, slide deck, or spreadsheet?
How can I filter my search results in Google Drive?
After a query is entered, users can use search chips to surface more relevant results based on:
- File type, such as a Google Doc, PDF, or image
- People
- Location, such as a shared drive or specific folder
- When the document was last modified
- Tasks

A shared document was moved. How can I find where my Google document “lives”?
- Moving a document in Google does not change the link to the document.
- This video demonstrates how you can find the Google Drive location for a document.
